BikePortland offers an in-depth look at the newly opened Lloyd Cycle Station, a state-of-the-art facility in Portland’s Lloyd District. This 600-space bike parking hub, part of the Hassalo on Eighth development, exemplifies a commitment to sustainable urban transportation.
Designed to promote a low-car lifestyle, the Cycle Station provides amenities such as secure bike parking, self-service repair stations, showers, locker rooms, and even a lounge area with a television. The facility is accessible 24/7 to members, enhancing convenience for daily commuters.
Urban Racks contributed to this project by supplying and installing advanced bike parking infrastructure, supporting Portland’s vision of becoming a world-class biking city. The Cycle Station stands as a model for integrating cycling facilities into urban developments.
